Sweethearts from the start?  After our first date it only took Sonia 2 years to get a clue.  Thankfully Wil was persistent and great at showing his charm.  Bold romantic gestures included Flying in from Santa Ynez - in a tuxedo - to hear Sonia sing at the Broad stage in Santa Monica.  Offers of paragliding and sailing on more than one occasion, and dinner and lunch at some of the westside's wonderful resturants.  Still Sonia was oblivious.  Are you kidding?  Hard to believe?  She just didn't get it. Between opera performances, studying muisc, preparing to audition abroad, and Cookie Company madness.  Somehow this romance was nearly missed.  Luckily, just one month before Sonia left for Austria to sing, Wil sent a message hoping that they could have one small date before she disappeared again.  This was the beginning of their love story....

Destination wedding!  Hooray! 

Where is Carmel Valley?

Carmel is a small city in Monterey County, California United States, founded in 1902 and incorporated on October 31, 1916.

Situated on the Monterey Peninsula, the town is known for its natural scenery and rich artistic history.

Carmel Valley is just 5 miles east of and akin to a lovely sister-town referred to as 'Carmel by the Sea'.

Fun Fact: It is the most dog-friendly town in the US.
