HE SAID:

The first time I met Renada was on a Saturday in July. My friends and I were going from cookout to cookout when Rodney said that one of his friends was having a graduation party. So we arrived at the party and I was introduced to Renada. I thought she was beautiful. While I was enjoying the food I realized that she was not having fun. So I approached her to let her know the food was great and to get to know her better. The longer we talked the more she started to enjoy her self.

The party was over so my friends and I left. About a week later Rodney called me and said that Renada liked me and wanted me to call her. So I called and she denied telling Rodney to tell me to call her but agreed to go out with me anyway. Later that week on Saturday, we went to the movies and out to eat, we had a lot of fun. We talked and continued to date up until she went to school and we stayed in contact while she was away. She came home from school during Christmas vacation and we were inseparable. On New Years Eve she invited me to house for a party and on that night she asked me to be her boyfriend and I said, "yes." Now its eight years later and we're getting married. O yeah!!!!.

SHE SAID:

I was sitting in the cafeteria when my friend Rodney came over to pass out flyers for a party he was promoting. I took the flyer and to my surprise there was an unfamiliar face. I asked Rodney who the mystery guy was and he told me that his name was Anthony; I casually mentioned that he was cute and went on about my day. About a month later, I had a party to celebrate graduation and going away for school. About an hour into the party Rodney showed up with his usual entourage and Anthony.

We only started talking because he was really enjoying the macaroni salad and wanted to know if he could have more. After his second helping of macaroni salad he seemed to notice that I wasn’t enjoying myself and from that point on he made it his mission for me to laugh as much as possible.

A week or two went by and Rodney called me to see how things were going and I told him that I was getting ready to go move to Atlanta for College. We talked for all of five minutes before he said he had to call me back, I said ok. About 10 minutes later I got a phone call from Anthony and he proudly stated that Rodney told him that I wanted him to call me. After we argued about who wanted to call who for about 5 minutes we agreed to go out on a date that coming Saturday.

Shacarr and I were inseparable for the the two weeks before I left for Atlanta but we still decided that we would just be friends because I was going to school so far away. We kept in touch none the less.

I came home winter break and hosted a New Year’s Eve party, I invited Anthony and he came with some friends. After lots drinks and laughs I decided that we should figure what this “friendship” was going to be; I asked in a pretty aggressive voice “so do you want to be my boyfriend or what?” This was out of character for me, so even I was surprised after I said it, but he didn’t hesitate to say yes so it made it all worth it.
