Who says you can't meet your true love at a church function? Brandon's step-mother heard me speak in church and got my number. She e-mailed it to him that day and next thing I know a mutual friend introduces us that night at an LDS church Young Single Adult meeting. We had a great conversation about the Ultimate Fighting Championships! I (Amanda) knew I would see him again. A couple days later Brandon asked me out and it went from there. We had the best first date with dinner at Macaroni Grill for who knows how many hours and then topped it off with yogurt. One of my students was there and accused me of "cupcaking" when I saw him in class the next day. I admitted I was "cupcaking" (flirting)! Brandon discovered sugar-free hot fudge on that date! We have had so much fun at baseball games, concerts, golfing, hanging out with family, and hitting in the batting cages. I have met my match when it comes to playing sports! We thought it was odd that we felt so right about eachother after only 3 weeks. But, with the miracles we had both experienced, we knew we were put together for a reason. The timing was perfect, the circumstances were perfect, and the feeling was perfect. The Lord brought us together - no doubt!
Brandon and I will be sealed for time and all eternity in the California Sacramento Temple in Rancho Cordova on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 9am. Only those eligible can attend this ceremony, therefore, we will hold a ring ceremony that same day at 8925 Vintage Park Dr. Sacramento, CA 95829 at 4:30pm. There will be a reception following at the same address from 5:00-7:00pm. Attire is nice casual and there will be food and dancing! Children are welcome. The closest airport is Sacramento International off of Interstate 5. There are many nearby hotels and restaurants. During November in the Sacramento area, the weather can be a bit cold and rainy so bring a jacket and umbrella. You may get wet!
Brandon and I have both waited (patiently) for this opportunity in our lives. So we are so excited to be spending this special time with those we love! And there are many valued friends we have not seen for many years! We hope you can make it because it will be a blast! We love you dearly!
