Eric was just starting his winter quarter of first year at LLU School of Medicine in the beginning of a new year in 2006. He was quiet new to the small town of Loma Linda and wanted to find a nice girl for himself. He browsed through hundreds of profiles on Friendster and Irene’s profile caught his eye. He looked through her page and sent her a wink. Irene opened up her friendster profile and saw that someone named Eric sent her a wink and then browsed his page. She browsed through his pictures and found one that had contained a friend that she was familiar with. She sent him a message which Eric replied with his phone number. Eric did not have any expectations for Irene to call him up but to his surprise she did. He invited her to Young Adult Chinese Church Vespers on a friday evening and everyone thought Eric had a new girlfriend. Since Irene went to school in Redlands she studied together with Eric quite frequently and found herself spending a lot of time with him in LLU library during the first two and a half years of Medical School. Eric and Irene found so many things that they have in common; such as, doing outdoor activities, mission work, teaching, love working with kids, baking, being nerds together, playing rockband, and acting immature.
