Our Story

On March 3, 2008 at 7:30 p.m., Woodrow and I met at Walmart in Lithonia, GA on Aisle 7 ( the cookie section). When I first saw him I knew then that one day I would be his wife. He spoke to me and I spoke back and his look on his face was like he was total shock that I spoke. He was going down the aisle to purchase some Chip's Ohoy cookies but made a complete stop in the middle of the aisle. He asked me how are you doing, I said I am "wonderful" He immediately came to shake my hand and to introduce himself. We talked for a least 15 minutes before I ask him did he have a card. He told me he didnt have any business cards yet so I gave him my card to call me but I really didnt think he would call. He did call and we talked through the middle of the morning we had so much in common. We met again the next day and I remember that he did not get his Chip's Ohoy cookies so before I met him I went and bought them and his facial expression was like WOW. Woodrow comes from the old school of being in relationship. We both wanted to build that foundation first just in case anything happen we knew that this foundation would not fall but stand. We started out just as friends and we have been together for 14 months and we are still standing on that foundation. We had our up and downs but that's in every relationship but we are still standing. On April 26, 2009 he surprised me and proposed to me in church (yes in front of the whole church) he went on his knees and ask me to marry him. I was so speechless I didnt know what to say and then I look at him and I accepted. Woodrow is my life for a reason and I do believe God sent him to me. God positioned me to be in Walmart at that time so I can meet him. We love each other so much, he is like no other person I know. I have never been in a relationship for a person to care about me like Woodrow does. We both know that we are going to walk into this marriage with God definetly in front of us.
