Ever heard of finding true love at the tanning salon? Well, Craig and Risa can tell you that it can happen. They can truly testify that love can strike when you least expect it. In February of 2008, as Risa was leaving the salon, Craig was coming in. Ironically, Craig was preparing for a trip to Jamaica and getting some sun for the trip. However, Craig never went on the trip, so they will go together as two and return as one in June of this year. As Craig entered the salon, sporting an Air Force sweatshirt, Risa was trying to herd her three children out the door. Because of Lexie's keen interest in the armed forces, Risa asked Craig if he was in the service. He replied, "well, I would tell you but then I'd have to kill you". Thinking this was funny, Risa responded, "okay, so go ahead, put me out of my misery big guy." Being amused by the instant chemistry, both of them began inquiring about the other with the salon owners. About a month later, they finally got together for coffee and discovered how much they enjoyed each other right away. Risa's grandmother had been Craig's 2nd grade teacher and Risa's family had heard stories about the youngster who left a lobster shell in Mrs. Keen's classroom over the weekend.....yes, that youngster was Craig Miller. Small world, huh? Well after Risa had searched for 38 years and Craig searched for 50, finally they found one another. Sometimes true love just takes awhile, but now they both agree it was worth the wait!!

The couple will be flying to Jamaica in June and plans to exchange their vows in the presence of one another and God. They will exchange vows on June 24th at 4 pm under a gazebo on the beach in Jamaica.

We are having our reception on Saturday July 24, 2010. It will be held at the Heritage House in East Brainerd at Heritage Park. We will be celebrating from 7-9 and hope that all of our friends will come share this special time with us!
