Bob and I wish to share our love of the river and nature with our cherished friends and family at our wedding this May, 31st, 2010. We have chosen the Wild Basin Lodge, located 12 miles outside of Estes Park, Colorado. This contemporary lodge sits right at the water's edge with plenty of windows and balconies in which to enjoy the natural offerings of the beautiful Colorado river, the Saint Vrain, and the edge of the famous Rocky Mountain National Park. Our ceremony will be held at the picturesque amphitheater that cascades down to an Aspen-surrounded deck by the river. We will be delighted and thankful to be surrounded by the wonderful people in our lives that have either known us separately, or as a couple as we are unified in matrimony by our officiate that is our close friend and physician.
Dress: Semi-formal
Immediately following the ceremony will be a time for visiting in the lodge, at which time appetizers will be served and beverages will be available. After the receiving line has finished at 5:30, a sit down dinner will start; we're happy to provide this lovely chef-prepared dinner of Bison and Ruby red trout as fitting for this beautiful environment. A fresh salad and bread assortment will be served prior to dinner, and a very specially prepared dessert is anticipated from a wonderful pastry chef from Estes Park. All of the dinner's selections for our reception are prearranged to be gluten and dairy free, with the exception of some of the breads served, and goat cheese in one of the appetizers. We hope our choices are both delicious and memorable for all our guests.
Promptly following this special dinner will be a time for special dances to very special music performed by the accomplished vocalist and pianist from Nashville, our special guest - Reed Hess. Open dancing will follow until 9:00, at which time our special day will come to a close.
We are most happy to help with any information that our guests needs relevant to travel and lodging. Please feel free to contact us as soon as possible as this area of Rocky Mountain National Park is popular and books up quickly! We have both maps and lodging recommendations for varied needs.
