Reno and I met over 19 years ago when he was the soccer coach for my oldest son Robert who played on Reno’s teams for 3 or 4 seasons. During those seasons we spent time talking and becoming friends. After that time frame Reno went his way and I mine.
And then 17 years later….. On May 7th of last year, I was supposed to be meeting with a client to take her some product she order and have dinner, but her child had became ill so we had to cancel, so while driving home I kept going back and forth about going to Home Depot, saying stuff to myself like “oh I can go tomorrow”, “it can wait”; but something told me I needed to go and get it done; so off to Home Depot I went for weed killer, it was of course that time of year; Reno on his way home from Boulder had thoughts of stopping in Louisville at the Home Depot there, but decided he needed to change out of his work clothes before loading items in the cart and in his truck, so he went on home, once there he had conflicting thoughts of staying home and putting going off until the next day as well, but his neighbor offered to help him if he went and got the stuff he needed that night, so off to Home Depot he went. Well while I was checking out the weed killer, coming down the isle, my cart in the way and all Reno was checking me out…LOL... I saw him coming and thought to myself oh he’s a nice looking handsome man, oh you never get hit on in Home Deport he’s not really looking at you, and I also didn’t recognize him as he had a hat on and it was pulled a ways down over his eyes, but come to find out later he recognized me, but couldn’t remember my name! LOL He walked down the isle and back again, hum “I’m thinking to myself, he’s taking a second look, I have to admit I checked him out too, Nice looking man I told myself again, then said okay just get the weed killer and be on your way”, he too went about his shopping. Well on my way to the check out, I stopped and was looking at the lawn cushions, and I looked up and notice that Reno is walking towards me well as he got closer and I could actually see his eyes, and then he spoke, that German accent! Oh I remembered that voice, and I totally recognized him! And he says to me “I know you” and I replied “yeah I know you too”. Well that was the start, we talked for a while there in the store, (a long while the guy in the garden center came looking for Reno to see if he still was ready to check out with his items! LOL); turns out we only live 3 miles from one another and we have not seen each other during those 17 years, how crazy is that; anyway after talking a while he then suggested we get together, I ended up suggesting that we meet up that night as my plans had been canceled and he thought that sounded great, so later we met a local bar and grill for drinks and went out the next day, and the next day and just totally feel in love. Thank you God for our answered prayers! On May 23rd, 2010 while visiting family in Wyoming for my niece’s graduation; Reno and I went up on Casper Mountain to Lookout point where he went down on one knee and proposed it was beautiful! He put a beautiful ring on my finger and we became offically engaged. :)

We are so blessed that God has brought us together and are so looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together. We are blessed with our two families with a total of 7 beautiful, wonderful children that we love totally and between the two of us we have a bakers dozen of wonderful, wonderful grandkids and we look forward to many dinners and events with all them, as well as our extended families and friends. God is so good. We thank him everyday that he has brought Life and Love back into our lives! Thank you Lord, Thank you Amen
