Our Story

Shawn and I met over a dating website. Funny enough, we were matched. Shawn had emailed me and we carried on the conversation over the phone. He had asked me several times out on a date but I continuously turned him down. After all, I was pregnant and wasn't too certain about what he was looking for. Finally, my mother forced me to go. I'm so glad she did because I met the man of my dreams. Our first date, we walked along the park and danced in the sunset where we shared our first kiss. It was electric. We continued our date to another park. He took me to a beautiful spot where you could see all of the city lights. A song happened to come on the radio. It was Saigon Kick - Love is on the way. It struck both of our heart strings. The second date, we knew this was for real. Valentines day, Shawn got down on one knee in the snow in front of his sisters house after a really nice dinner to ourselves. He proposed. I was speechless and him being the sarcastic one he is, said - "Well are you gonna give me an answer or am I going to be in the snow all night?" I cried and said "Of course I'll marry you. I love you." Shawn and I are extremely happy together. We respect each other and have common ground. He can make me laugh when I'm in the worst mood, make me smile when there's tears in my eyes. The communication we have with each other is rare to find, and I'm tellin' you. He's a keeper!
