When I first met Nicholas Footman was in November 2007 when I walked into Foodlion store. He was a stocker for the dairy products. I have to admit that the first time I laid eyes on him; I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter. But, I told my cousin and sisters that he was going to be mines, because he was to fine to let go. Little do you all know, I was too scared to approach him because I was pregnant. I would just go to Foodlion for the heck of it …. so I can just see him. I didn’t get the courage to really let him know I like him until April 2008. I did it old school, I wrote a letter letting him know that I like him with my name and number. I can remember the day I went into Foodlion, and was getting checked out at the cash register. Nicholas was called up to the front to help them bag grocery. He came straight to my register. I planned on giving him the paper with my information on it, but was too scared. But, my sister made a seen at the register saying “girl go ahead and give the boy the thing. You know that you like him. This is your time, don’t miss out on it.” I still didn’t listen to her because I walked out and went home. But, later on that afternoon, I had to just go back and give him my information. Sure enough he was still there and my sister gives him the paper. After that I didn’t hear from him or seen him for a week. So I went to one of his friends that work with him and told him to tell Nick to call me. I was told that the boy called and say “yo this fine sister came looking for you and say to tell you to call her. But, yo when you call hook me up with her sister cause them girls are fine and have a nice booty,” that was the funniest thing I ever heard. Since June 3, 2008 we have made it to 4 & half years and engage. Our relationship has been based on ups and downs, family, and prayer. The one thing we make sure we do is pray together!
