Friday, June 24, Robert takes me out to dinner to one of my favorite places to eat "The Keg" in Arlington for my birthday, but my birthday was the next day on the 25th. Well the day of my birthday, Robert calls to let me know he's on his way with my gift, which he kept saying, "I hope you like it..."  We've been together for 3 yrs. there hasn't been a gift he's giving me that I didn't love.  Robert arrives with a white plastic grocery bag with "Thank you, have a nice day" printed on the bag -lol!  He gives it to me and says "Happy Birthday".  I was like, "wow...you went all out on the gift wrapping -lol" and you know Robert, he was proud of his gift wrapping :)  Well, I open the bag and inside of it was a pretty red gift box. I open the red gift box and there was another pretty red gift box and a "longhorn" ball cap.  I open the next red gift box and inside of it was a small white box.  I was like, "what's up with the boxes?" -lol! Robert says, "what's wrong with you, you can't open your gift? -lol!" I open the white box and inside of it was a small box that would hold -I thought a pair of earrings, which I thought it was another pair of earrings.  Well...to my surprise when I open the box it was my engagement ring!  I hugged Robert so tight that he said I was choking him and he couldn't ask me a question -lol! I let loose my grip and he popped the question, "baby will you marry me?" -My response was, YES, YES, YES!  How romanical...as Robert would say -lol!
