Robert and I met through a navy buddy of his, who was recruiting my daughter in Oklahoma back in April 2008, where she was going to college at the time. I was having a "pamper me" day when it was interrupted by this friend and my daughter needing a document that had to be processed that same day.  This friend informed me that he has a navy buddy who has an office in my area.  He gave me his name and contact number and told me to call him when I have the document in hand. It was late in the evening by the time I arrived home, but I called the number introduced myself and told the gentleman on the phone that I have the document in hand and I can bring it to him.  To my surprise the voice on the other end said, "yes ma'am, we're here waiting for you."  He gave me directions to the office, which turn out to be less than 5 minutes from my home.  I walked into the office and was greeted by a man with a bald head, workout gear, a welcoming hand shake and a big bright smile -WOW! 

After a few minutes of flirting by this special someone, "I" was only interested in when I would get my daughters document back.  He informed me that once the document was processed he would make sure I got it back.  We exchanged numbers and three days later he calls and says, the document was ready and I can pick it up, or he could drop it off to me.  I was home waiting for a delivery at the time, so I asked if he could bring the document to me.  I gave him direction to my home and a few minutes later to my surprise this man shows up in a white navy uniform, shiney bald head and shades...

OH, MY....I think this man had an agenda!  While standing in the door with my mouth hanging open, I watched him walk up to my front door, he handed me the document and said, "thank you" and then he said, "off the record...can I take you to lunch?"  Needless to say, we've been together every since.

April 22, 2008 -is our beginning... 

Our wedding day will be elegant. It will have a 1940's "Harlem Nights -old hollywood" theme. The beautiful satiny silky gowns; the gloves; diamonds and pearls; and the dapper three piece suits and fedoras will add a flavor that will be timeless. It's only a matter of time until I'm walking down the isle in my gown towards the man who sailed into my heart and I walked into his. This will be an event to remember and we our so excited and blessed that you have chosen to share our special day.

Our reception will be fabulous! Please join us after the ceremony as we celebrate our lives as Mr. & Mrs. Robert Dixon. You will be escorted to the ballroom for formal dining, drinking, dancing and a fabulous good time for all. This is an ADULT reception.

Robert and I would like to thank our family and friends who have supported our relationship from the beginning of our journey together. By Gods grace and mercy we have arrived to this blessed day. You all have shown us so much unselfish, unconditional love, and we thank you and love you for keeping us lifted in continued prayer.  Our lives would not be complete without you sharing our special day with us.  May God continue to shower His abundant blesssings upon you.
